Job Description
Job Description** **:
As a **Composite Manufacturing Engineer,** you will lead efforts to refine and advance composite manufacturing techniques, supporting both new product introductions and continuous improvement initiatives for existing products.
Key responsibilities include:
+ Technical Expertise and Innovation:
+ Develop and apply subject-matter expertise in composite manufacturing processes, including composite tool/mold design, prepreg layup and/or braiding, and consolidation.
+ Design and develop tooling, fixturing, and shop aids to support composite production.
+ Evaluate and advance novel manufacturing processes, integrating Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles into product designs.
+ Provide manufacturing input to influence customer designs
+ Process Development and Execution:
+ Define new processes and/or modify existing ones to deliver prototype hardware per customer requirements
+ Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and structured problem-solving activities to address manufacturing challenges.
+ Provide hands-on and technical support to production personnel to ensure correct execution of manufacturing processes.
+ Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Qualifications/requirements:
+ Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years' experience + minimum of 3 years' experience
+ Due to the nature of the duties of this position, this role requires the individual to obtain and maintain US Government DoD Security Clearance

+ Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and/or CAD software (e.g. NX)
