Summary This position is located in the Senior Administrative Office, Office of the Director of Administration and Management (ODA&M). The Director of Administration and Management (DA&M) is the Principal Staff Assistant (PSA) to the Secretary of War (SW) and Deputy Secretary of War (DSW) for organizational and management matters within the Office of the Secretary of War (OSW). Responsibilities Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Provides the Secretary and Deputy Secretary of War, along with other senior DoW leaders, independent, evidence based advice on business management issues. Provides strategic direction, planning, management, oversight, and coordination of all DBB activities, ensuring full adherence to the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), the Government in the Sunshine Act, and applicable Department of War (DoW) policies and regulations. Serves as Chief of the Defense Business Board (DBB) and directs daily administrative and technical operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the organization. Serves as a senior strategic business advisor, providing independent, enterprise-level guidance and counsel on private sector, Directs special or sensitive projects and studies that improve program performance, organizational effectiveness, and management efficiency across the DBB and, as assigned, the Department. Evaluates agency-wide strategic and performance planning responsibilities, Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0300/miscellaneous-administration-and-program-series-0301/ You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability with: - Possessing an in depth understanding of FACA compliance, ethic regulation; and public transparency standards governing advisory operations. - Managing or advising senior-level boards, commissions, or task forces, ensuring efficient coordination, documentation, and record keeping. - Possessing expert experience in OMB Circular A-11, DoD FMR, Anti-Deficiency Act, and other Title 31 statutes. - Being able to coach senior analysts, manage cross-functional teams, and represent organization externally through proven experience. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
