SAIC is seeking a **Program Budget Analyst** to join our team in Aberdeen, Maryland.
Job Description:
+ Prepare, review, and validate a wide range of financial documents for execution, including Project Work Directives (PWDs), Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), and other budgetary instruments.
+ Ensure all financial documents are complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable regulations (DoD Financial Management Regulations, OMB Circulars, etc.) prior to submission.
+ Track the status of financial documents through the execution process, proactively identifying and resolving any issues or delays.
+ Prepare regular financial reports and briefings for stakeholders, summarizing budget status and providing actionable insights.
+ Interpret and apply relevant program and budgetary policies, laws, and regulations.
+ Ensure strict compliance with established budgeting techniques and financial management principles.
+ Develop and maintain accurate financial data within assigned programs, supporting internal reviews and monitoring of financial execution.
+ Monitor commitments, obligations, and fund disbursements to ensure alignment with Department of the Army (DA) goals and objectives.
+ Monitor budget execution, tracking expenditures against approved allocations and identifying potential overruns or underruns.
+ Provide expert technical advice and guidance to stakeholders on financial matters, including program budgeting and resource allocation.
+ Assist with preparation for and execution of financial audits.
+ Ensure full compliance with all audit requirements and address any audit findings promptly and effectively.
+ Maintain documentation to support audit readiness.
Qualifications
Required Education:
Bachelors and five (5) years or more related experience; Masters and three (3) year of related experience; four (4) years of experience considered in lieu of degree
**Qualifications** :
+ Proficiency in preparing and processing financial documents (PWDs, MIPRs, etc.).
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) systems preferred.
Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
