Description
SAIC is seeking an Employee Assistance Counselor to support our customer in Chantilly, VA with occasional day trips to Fort Belvoir, VA. The position develop treatment plans, make assessments and case determinations, conduct individual, group or family therapy, deliver briefings, conduct management and security consultations, and provide follow-up after care as required. Assume responsibility for case management and abide by confidentiality regulations. Provide statistical data, as required by specific program guidelines, training, education, and information services. May administer and analyze psychological tests. Contributes as a government consultant in the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered an expert in the field within the organization and local community. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
**KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY:** Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to more junior team members to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules. Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect organization.
**PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:** Develops solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation. Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
**FREEDOM TO ACT:** Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long-term perspective for desired results.
**IMPACT:** Effects of decisions are long lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
**LIASON:** Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
Qualifications
+ Masters or Doctoral Degree in related field and three or more years of relevant experience.
+ Licensed or certified as an independent practitioner.
+ Familiarity with Intelligence Community or Department of Defense preferred.
+ Bachelors and ten (10) years or more of related experience; Masters and eight (8) years or more experience; PhD or JD and five (5) years or more of experience.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly security clearance.
