Description
SAIC is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Business Process Consultant specializing in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) within the ServiceNow ecosystem. This role is responsible for leading organizational transformation efforts by assessing current processes, designing optimized workflows, aligning operations with best practices, and enabling effective use of ServiceNow’s ITAM capabilities. The ideal candidate will combine deep process knowledge with strong communication, facilitation, and advisory skills to guide stakeholders through complex asset management initiatives.
This role is fully remote and can be worked from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
•Lead end-to-end process consulting efforts for HAM and SAM, including assessment, design, optimization, and governance.
•Evaluate current-state asset management processes and develop future-state models aligned with industry standards, ITIL, and ServiceNow best practices.
•Facilitate workshops with business, procurement, ITAM, finance, and operational teams to gather requirements, identify gaps, and establish standardized processes.
•Develop detailed process documentation, workflow diagrams, RACI models, and governance frameworks for hardware and software asset lifecycles.
•Advise on ServiceNow ITAM capabilities, including asset lifecycle automation, normalization, reconciliation, software license compliance, and asset repository accuracy.
•Work closely with architects and developers to ensure designed processes convert into effective technical implementations.
•Support executive-level planning with ROI analysis, maturity assessments, and roadmap development for HAM/SAM programs.
•Assist in data strategy decisions, including data sources, integration needs, normalization rules, and compliance tracking.
•Provide training, change management support, and operational readiness planning for new or updated asset processes.
•Serve as a subject matter expert in HAM/SAM governance, compliance, vendor licensing, and operational controls.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of relevant experience, or a Masters degree and 7 years of relevant experience
•A minimum of 7 years of experience in IT Asset Management consulting, business process design, or ITSM/ITAM process leadership.
•Deep functional expertise in Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management, including lifecycle management, financial tracking, and vendor/license compliance.
•Strong understanding of ServiceNow ITAM modules, data models, and platform capabilities.
•Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional workshops, defining requirements, and designing enterprise-level processes.
•Expertise in process frameworks such as ITIL, ISO/IEC 19770, and governance best practices.
•Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
•Ability to create high-quality documentation including future-state models, process maps, and governance frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience supporting ServiceNow HAM/SAM implementations or migrations.
•Knowledge of procurement workflows, CMDB relationships, discovery integrations, and asset financial management.
•Familiarity with common asset source tools (SCCM, Intune, JAMF, Flexera, Snow, etc.).
•ServiceNow certifications such as ITAM Fundamentals, CIS-HAM, CIS-SAM, or CSA.
•Experience in large enterprise or consulting environments.
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
