We ensure our online e-commerce customers, third-party markets, internal supply chain and stores to access various data in a low-latency, high-available, resilient and scalable way. We manage and provide data access toolchains to large-scale distributed data stores to critical applications in production like Cart, Checkout, Payment, and Supply Chain.
Position Summary
You'll be responsible for design, development and operations of large-scale data access/processing systems operating at terabyte/petabyte scale. As part of data access framework team, you will be focusing on data access best-patterns and best practice, as a form of library or service, to various data stores, e.g., Relational (MySQL/Oracle/PostGres/SQLServer), NewSQL (Spanner), NoSQL (CosmosDB, Cassandra, etc.), and Cache (Memcached, Redis), and Search Index (ElasticSearch, Solr) data stores. You'll interact with the engineers, product managers and architects to provide scalable, high-available, resilient, and robust technical solutions.
Responsibilities include:
+ Design, develop, and implement high-quality data access solutions to various data stores, focusing on scalability, latency, and fault-tolerance in every system built.
+ Use AI technology to automate workflows and improve overall productivity.
+ Own small-sized or medium-size projects from end-to-end and be able to lead 1-3 junior or senior engineers to accomplish project goals with high-quality.
+ Effectively troubleshoot application and production issues.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field with 8+ years of industrial experience or Master’s degree and above with 6+ years of industrial experience.
+ 8+ years of object-oriented programming experience in Java, C++, C, or similar language.
+ 8+ years of experience in SQL and/or NoSQL data modeling.
+ 8+ years of experience of in both SQL and NoSQL data store technologies (e.g., MySQL/Oracle/Cassandra/Hadoop/Spark/CosmosDB/Spanner/PostGres/Memcached/Redis/Zookeeper/ElasticSearch/OpenSearch/Solr, etc.)
+ Deep knowledge on relational database server, JDBC client libraries, and object-relation-mapping (ORM) layer, particularly on MSSQL/AzureSQL and PostgreSQL.
+ Expert knowledge and experience on developing Search Indexes and client libraries, particularly on ElasticSearch/OpenSearch/Solr.
+ 8+ years of experience in systems design, algorithms, distributed systems, real-time systems, or real-time analytics.
+ 1+ years of experience and skills on developing AI Agentic tools to automate workflows and improve productivity.
+ 2+ Open-source software contributions/commits to projects sponsored by Apache Software Foundation (ASF) and Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Large scale distributed systems experience and knowledge, including scalability and fault tolerance.
+ Technical leadership experience on medium-sized projects with quality
+ Familiar with various design patterns in distributed systems, e.g., integrated caching, data change capture, global secondary index, etc.
+ Expert on building production-quality SDKs/drivers for accessing SQL/NoSQL datastores
+ Proficient on multi-threading concurrency programming and low-level system programming
+ Proficient on operations with VM-based Openstack and container-based Kubernetes systems.
+ Experience in database, data warehousing, and data processing workflow.
+ Exposure to cloud infrastructure, such as Open Stack, Azure, GCP, or AWS
+ A continuous drive to explore, improve, enhance, automate, and optimize systems and tools.
+ Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
+ Graduate degree in computer science or related field (MS or PhD)
+ Ability to operate effectively and independently in a dynamic, fluid environment
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
