    The issuing Agent provides high quality, highly specialized service and support regarding motor vehicle titling and registration applications as well as driver license/identification card and driver compliance issues to a variety of Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) customers and business partners.

     

    _The Department of Public Safety is unable to provide sponsorship for work visas. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States at the start of employment. DPS does not participate in E-Verify._

     

    _**Hybrid Eligible:** Employees may telework up to 50% or more, depending on the position and the needs of the division. Employees who live 50 miles or more from their permanent work location may be allowed to telework more than 50% with approval from the division director._

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Knowledge of Data entry sufficient to examine, proofread, and compare records to ensure that accurate information is entered and updated to DVS information systems.

    + Ability to explain the reasons for transactions, procedures, rules, and regulations to customers of diverse backgrounds.

    + English oral and written language skills sufficient to communicate via email and phone interactions with co-workers, customers, and the general public.

    + Word processing skills sufficient to create, edit, and finalize emails, memos, and letters, for both internal and external customers.

    + Math skills sufficient to do basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).

    + Knowledge of computer software applications sufficient to create, edit, and maintain spreadsheets.

    + Database management skills sufficient to generate queries and look-up reports.

    Preferred Qualifications

    + Previous motor vehicle title and registration experience, and/or driver's license/identification card and driver compliance issuing, or other experience in a regulatory environment.

    + Ability to learn, understand, and apply motor vehicle and/or driver's license terminology, statutes, and procedures within three months of hire.

    + Demonstrated ability to be well organized and to prioritize tasks.

    + Demonstrated ability to work independently, to follow up on activities with little supervision, and to meet deadlines.

    + Ability to work cooperatively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities.

    Physical Requirements

    Requires occasionally moving and transporting such articles as file folders and small tools. May need to maintain a stationary position for long periods of time while carrying out job duties.
