_This position is located at the D7 Headquarter Building in Mankato and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor._
**NOTE:** This posting represents a multi-level posting. If the position is not filled by a qualified applicant at the Human Resources Technician 2 position, the position will be filled at the Human Resources Technician 1 level.
Job Duties:
The purpose of this position is to provide technical para-professional Human Resources and administrative assistance to the professional human resources and management staff of District 7. Duties include providing consultation and guidance in the areas of recruitment, selection, classification, compensation, records management, performance management and labor relations/contract interpretation, defining, planning, tracking, and managing assigned HR projects.
Minimum Qualifications
HR Technician 1:
One (1) year of experience performing human resources tasks that demonstrates the following:
+ Experience entering and maintaining a database.
+ Experience reading, interpreting, and applying statutes, policies, procedures, rules and/or regulations.
HR Technician 2:
Two (2) years of technical human resources experience demonstrating at least two of the following:
+ Experience entering and maintaining employee data in an HR data management system or electronic applicant tracking system.
+ Experience supporting the hiring process such as posting job openings, reviewing resumes, preparing job offer letters, initiating pre-employment checks, and/or onboarding new employees.
+ Experience providing benefits information to employees.
+ Experience reading, interpreting, and applying statutes, policies, procedures, rules and/or regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience processing employee transactions (e.g., hires, separations, pay changes, position changes, etc.).
+ Experience interpreting and applying union contract language.
+ Experience using computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe to prepare and/or edit reports, create informational materials, create employee and applicant letters and memoranda, etc.
+ Experience using Recruiting Solutions and SEMA4.
