Responsibilities
Ascension St. John is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join our growing practice in Tulsa, Oklahoma. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that’s actively expanding to meet the needs of our community.
Expanding OB/GYN Practice
+ Employed providers with a strong focus on comprehensive women’s health, providing the full scope of obstetrics and gynecology services, including both inpatient and outpatient care.

+ In the process of adding neonatal flight services, bringing transfers from across Oklahoma

Neonatal Care & NICU
+ Level III NICU with private NICU rooms — a feature not commonly available in many hospitals
+ Neonatal transport (flight) program under development to improve access for statewide referrals

Responsibilities:
+ Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
+ Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinatedischarge planning with case management.
+ Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
+ Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital.
+ Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
+ Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner.
+ Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.
Requirements
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
+ Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
+ Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
