    Koniag Advisory Business Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Supply Technician I to support KABS and our government customer in Oklahoma City, OK. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

     

    Koniag Advisory Business Solutions is seeking dedicated full time Supply Technicians I who focus on customer support to join our team supporting the Indian Health Service, Oklahoma City Area Office and facilities throughout the Oklahoma City Area. This position plays a crucial role in providing the full range of professional inventory management support services to facilitate smooth operations of the IHS, National Supply Service Center. This position is expected to begin 12/15/25.

     

    The Supply Technicians work under the direct supervision of the Quality Assurance Coordinator. Employees will provide technical inventory management support to the NSSC Distribution Center and assist the Quality Assurance Coordinator. The assignments

     

    involve assisting the Quality Assurance Coordinator with the technical aspect of managing daily operations and processes necessary to achieve inventory management and NSSC strategic goals.

     

    Accounting manuals, agency regulations, directives, and specific guidelines are available for the employee to use in carrying out all given assignments. The employee determines the most appropriate procedure or technique among alternatives and uses judgment to ensure transactions are entered in an accurate manner.

     

    The employee compiles, analyzes, and summarizes information relating to the designated supply inventory requirements. The incumbent defines stock levels and the frequency of reordering. The employee also considers the normal acquisition channels, lead time, availability, storage or staging space, frequency of use, and documentation requirements when providing support for buying, storing, and issuing supplies.

     

    The employee identifies and analyzes relationships among organizational needs and objectives, costs, and NSSC inventory management guidelines. The employee resolves conflicts in customer descriptions of required items, recommends substitutions, and advises about alternative procurement methods. The processing schedule is specific and must be consummated daily to ensure proper processing. Orders must be processed with great precision.

     

    Recommendations made by the employee involve the implementation of specific supply inventory actions and the application of standard methods, techniques, and programs. These recommendations are based on factual information such as funding available and regulatory requirements

    Hours:

    While work hours for certain task assignments may vary depending on the requirements of the assigned work and department, in general, the staff shall provide support during IHS core operation hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (local time) except local or national emergencies, administrative closing, and other IHS or Government directed facility closures.

    Travel:

    + Travel is not anticipated for this requirement.

    + In the event of travel, it shall be paid in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulations and GSA travel rates.

    + Government vehicles may also be utilized, subject to the rules and regulations of NSSC’s Fleet Management.

    Principal responsibilities include:

    + Controls daily processing to be accomplished on time and validates to the Quality Assurance Coordinator that daily production outcomes are accurate and completed as required.

    + Develops, reviews, and analyzes reports, records, procurement requests, and other supply documents to determine category and quantities of supply items needed.

    + Develops reports as needed for senior management review.

    + Plans and determines current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs.

    + Maintains inventory control records using LINK. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

    + Handle and process incoming orders from customer facilities

    + Reviews, edits, codes, and classifies documents for LINK processing

    + Accounts for receipts, issues, and closing inventories for drugs and pharmaceuticals, medical, surgical, dental, radiology, and laboratory using the LINK system

    + Operates a personal computer to control supply management records and reports and is responsible for the verification, timeliness, and accuracy of the output data

    + Verifies and is responsible for the accuracy of data processes daily. Reconciles and/or corrects errors detected or rejected by LINK.

    + Participates in the coordination of supply requirements with users; seeks assistance in resolving customer problems associated with obtaining and maintaining stock; assists in the Annual Purchase Program as necessary.

    + Works with LINK in resolving Service Issue Discrepancies (SIDS) and other customer service issues.

    + Become actively involved in providing outstanding customer service and in cultivating a teamwork environment within the inventory management department.

    Education and Experience:

    Required:

    + High School Graduate

    + College a Plus

    + Knowledge of a broad range of commonly applied inventory management principles, concepts, and methodologies within NSSC's inventory control program.

    + Knowledge of automated inventory management systems, methods, and techniques to assist customer facilities with controlling the level and flow of supplies.

    + Knowledge of computer peripheral equipment and the ability to enter coded data and execute computer commands to process data and extract data reports.

    + Problem-solving techniques and processes, along with the ability to communicate, positively, solutions to problems that arise.

    + Proficiency in corresponding using webmail. Proficiency in Windows07, Excel, and PowerPoint.

    + Knowledge of customer service practices and problem-solving techniques to ensure the timely resolution of customer inquiries and of problems.
