Technical Accounting and Policy Manager
This is a senior individual contributor role.
Position Overview
The Technical Accounting and Policy Manager is a key member of our Accounting Policy Team, responsible for conducting technical accounting research, interpretation, and analysis to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This role drives the implementation and maintenance of sound accounting policies and provides significant exposure to complex and high-impact issues across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
+ Monitor emerging accounting and financial reporting developments and assess their impact on the company.
+ Provide clear, concise technical guidance on new and emerging accounting and reporting issues from regulatory bodies (FASB, SEC, NAIC).
+ Consult with business partners to implement new requirements across the enterprise.
+ Offer technical accounting and reporting guidance for products, transactions, and other relevant circumstances, including M&A activity and complex investment transactions.
+ Deliver training to Finance staff on accounting and reporting issues.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ CPA required; MBA preferred.
+ 6+ years of relevant experience.
+ Extensive knowledge of GAAP, SEC, and statutory requirements.
+ Strong analytical and communication skills (verbal and written).
+ Experience in financial and operational auditing and review, including acquisitions and divestitures.
+ High level of ethics and integrity.
+ Ability to build effective relationships with global business partners.
+ Hybrid work arrangement: 3 days in office, 2 days remote.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
