    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented **Senior Technician** - High Temperature Composites to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting furnace operations, material processing, and equipment maintenance. This position requires a hands-on individual with strong technical and organizational skills who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Work shift: First Shift , Monday - Friday , with an ability to work flexible hours, including overtime or other shifts as needed.

    What You Will Do

    + Build furnace loads for densification and coating runs as per operational requirements.

    + Perform routine and preventive maintenance tasks related to furnace operations to ensure optimal performance and safety.

    + Collect, record, and report data on all materials processed through the furnaces to the designated lead or supervisor.

    + Operate and maintain support equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and operational guidelines.

    + Follow established procedures and work instructions to meet production and quality standards.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment and process issues under the guidance of the lead technician or supervisor.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety and environmental protocols.

    + Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production schedules and operational goals.

    + This position involves working in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to high temperatures, machinery, and industrial chemicals. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided and must be worn as required.

    Qualifications You Must Have

    + HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or industrial environment.

    + Experience in furnace operations, safety standards and related support equipment.

    + Experience in reading, interpreting and executing work instructions and manuals.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

    Qualifications We Prefer

    + Strong communication and teamwork skills.

    + Experience in measuring, collecting and entering data.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.

    + Technical certification or training in a related field.

    + Previous experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments.

    + Forklift and overhead crane experience

    The salary range for this role is 44,000 USD - 92,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

     

    RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

     

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

     

    This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
