Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Responsible for assessing the developmental and psychological status of high-risk infants.
+ Conducts standardized assessments, observes behavior, and scores tests.
+ Works on a multidisciplinary team with healthcare professionals, social workers, rehabilitative therapists, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive care and support for the infants and their families.
+ Administers standardized developmental assessments to high-risk children up to age 6, including those related to cognitive, language, motor, social, and emotional development.
+ Scores assessments accurately and interpret results to identify developmental delays or other areas of concern.
+ Observes infants during assessments and note any behavioral or emotional responses that may be relevant to their development.
+ Prepares detailed reports summarizing assessment results and findings for review by the clinical team.
+ Works closely with the clinical team, including pediatricians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, to develop comprehensive care plans for infants.
+ Provides guidance and education to parents and caregivers about the assessment process, results, and recommendations for interventions or follow-up care.
+ Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, observations, and interactions with patients and families.
+ Serves as a resource of advanced psychometric and cognitive rehabilitation procedural knowledge.
+ Performs other duties as assigned/ required by the clinic leadership including, participating in the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelors degree in psychology, child development, or a related field from an accredited school or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
+ Masters degree preferred.
+ Two years of related experience which includes administering and scoring standardized assessments for infants and young children.
+ Experience with measuring/ tracking clinical outcomes, experience in clinical research is a plus.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
