Job Description:
Job Summary: Digital Technology Services (DTS) at Intermountain Health (IH) is seeking providers to participate as Provider Builders in its Provider Informatics Program (PIP) beginning in January 2026. This ongoing effort will allow physicians and advanced practice providers to participate in the improvement and refinement of the IH Epic EHR, while increasing their informatics knowledge base. Key areas of work will include EHR stabilization and optimization, with an emphasis on improving patient care and user satisfaction by streamlining workflows, expanding functionality, incorporating decision support and AI capabilities, and improving access to clinical data. PIP builders will report to the Senior Medical Director of Informatics corresponding to their clinical area of practice.
Time Commitment:
• 0.1 to 0.2 FTE (4-8 hours/week)
• Earliest contracting date: 1/1/2026
Essential Functions
+ Participate in PIP meeting structure
+ Engage with clinical end users to understand their informatics needs
+ Assist with end user mastery coaching and focused user assistance
+ Evaluate requests for further EHR development
+ Attain Certification/Accreditation in an Epic Physician Builder Certificate such as Physician Builder: Core, Physician Builder: Analytics or Pathologist Builder. These certifications are open to physicians and APPs.
+ Build new EHR content in preproduction Epic environments
+ Work collaboratively with clinical leaders, subject matter experts, and DTS analysts
+ Expand their health informatics personal fund of knowledge
+ Stay up to date on Epic EHR changes and best practices

Physical Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
+ Employed or Affiliated Physician or Advanced Practice Provider in any Intermountain region
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
+ Approval of clinical supervisor to engage in the above activities
Physical Requirements
+ Interact with others requiring employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
+ Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
+ See and read computer monitors and documents.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$7.25 - $999.99
