As a CAE Integration Supervisor at Ford Motor Company, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the integration and application of advanced CAE processes throughout the vehicle development lifecycle. You will lead a team of talented CAE engineers, ensuring the successful delivery of CAE-related milestones, fostering consistency in modeling practices, and championing the adoption of emerging technologies, including AI/ML, to revolutionize simulation and analysis processes. You will be instrumental in bridging technical expertise with strategic program execution, ensuring our virtual validation efforts are efficient, accurate, and aligned with Ford's Global Product Development System (GPDS).
What you'll do...
+ Lead, mentor, and manage a team of CAE Integration Engineers, fostering a collaborative, positive, and high-performance work environment.
+ Provide technical guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities to team members.
+ Provide leadership to ensure that the assigned program’s CAE-related deliverables are met at critical engineering milestones, including End-to-End CAE Analytical Progression for Milestone Signoff.
+ Be knowledgeable about the Analytical process, key milestone Analytical deliverables, and the strategic role of CAE in product development, ensuring team alignment and execution.
+ Facilitate effective communication and coordination among various functional and attribute CAE teams.
+ Lead co-creation efforts to develop and validate countermeasures, facilitate cross-attribute optimization and validation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive design improvements and communicate program status to senior management.
+ Lead delivery of complex input data to ensure quality model builds, analyses, and timely issue resolution across attributes.
+ Provide leadership to ensure consistency and standardization in CAE models and methodologies used across multiple vehicle attributes.
+ Drive the strategic adoption and implementation of AI/ML techniques to enhance CAE processes, including predictive modeling, simulation optimization, and accelerated development cycles.
+ Manage resources for CAE activities, ensuring efficient utilization and adherence to budgets.
You'll have...
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering
+ 5+ years of experience in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) within the automotive or a related industry.
+ 3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of vehicle development processes and milestones.
+ 2+ years of leadership experience, including managing or supervising technical teams.
+ 1+ years of experience using CAE tools and methodologies (e.g., structural, thermal, NVH, safety analysis).
+ 1+ years of experience in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., 3DX, SDM, TeamCenter) for engineering data management and collaboration.
Even better, you may have...
+ Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
+ Experience with specific CAE software suites (e.g., ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, Nastran, ANSA, HyperMesh).
+ Experience with scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, SysML) for automation and data processing.
+ Experience or strong understanding of AI/ML applications in engineering, simulation, or data analysis.
+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Professional engineering certification
+ Experience in project management
