    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Product Owner to champion theBlackLineplatform within our organization. This individual will possess a deep technical understanding of theBlackLineplatform, coupled with a strong financial background and a proven ability to translate business requirements into actionable product features and enhancements. They will lead a cross-functional team to implement Blackline -intercompany module, drive innovation, improve efficiency, and ensure the effective utilization ofBlackLineacross the organization. In the long run, this role is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and executing the product roadmap forBlackLine, aligning its capabilities with the evolving needs of the Finance and Accounting teams, especially those involved in Intercompany Accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and related financial processes.

     

    What you'll do

    BlackLineExpertise & Technical Leadership:

    + Serve as the primary product expert and technical lead for theBlackLineplatform.

    + Possess and maintain in-depth knowledge of allBlackLinemodules and functionalities, including but not limited to intercompany, reconciliation management, task management, transaction matching, variance analysis, automation, and reporting.

    + Lead the implementation and optimization ofBlackLinefeatures and functionalities to meet evolving business needs, including process automation, workflow improvements, and system integrations.

    + Participate and own the implementation of the Blackline intercompany module globally, within our organization.

    + Stay current with Blackline updates, enhancements, and best practices, proactively recommending implementing improvements to system configuration and functionality.

    + Troubleshoot complex technical issues and collaborate withBlackLinesupport and internal IT teams for resolution.

    + Guide the technical team on implementing product features, ensuring alignment with the product roadmap and technical best practices.

    Product Execution & Delivery:

    + Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and other product requirements documents.

    + Manage the product backlog and prioritize features based on business value and impact.

    + Lead and facilitate agile development sprints, working closely with the development team.

    + Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that product features meet the defined requirements.

    + Manage the release process, including communication, training, and documentation.

    + Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to identify areas for improvement.

    Intercompany Accounting & Financial Process Expertise:

    + Possess a strong understanding of intercompany accounting principles, including transfer pricing, eliminations, consolidation, and related financial processes.

    + Deep understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes and best practices.

    + Collaborate with finance teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements forBlackLine.

    + Advocate for the needs of the finance team and ensure thatBlackLineis effectively utilized to support their workflows.

    + Ensure thatBlackLineconfigurations support accurate and efficient intercompany accounting and reconciliation processes.

    Stakeholder Management & Communication:

    + Act as the primary point of contact for allBlackLine-related matters.

    + Communicate product updates, roadmaps, and release plans to stakeholders.

    + Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including finance, Tax, legal and business users.

    + Facilitate training and provide ongoing support to users of theBlackLineplatform.

    Other Organization duties:

    + Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.

    + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.

    + Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.

    + Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

    + Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.

    What you'll need

    + Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in IT, Finance, or a related field of study with 10-12 years of experience in financial systems or a related field. In lieu of a degree, a combination of relevant experience and education will be considered.

    + Minimum of 12+ years of experience in implementing/supporting financial systems, with at least 5 years of experience of implementing and supportingBlackLineapplication. Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role.

    + Expert-level proficiency inBlackLine(required). This includes experience with allBlackLinemodules and functionalities, and a proven track record of implementing and optimizingBlackLinesolutions.

    + Strong understanding of agile development methodologies.

    + Experience with data analytics and reporting tools.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

    + Blackline/Intercompany certification preferred

    + Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

    + In-depth knowledge of intercompany accounting principles, including transfer pricing, eliminations, and consolidation.

    + Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliation processes and best practices.

    + The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.

    + Ability to adapt to changing business environments and business needs

    + High level of accuracy and attention to details in all aspects of work

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

    + Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and business stakeholders

    + Ability to lead and manage project teams

    + Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
