    + DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

    + The Financial Counselor maintains a broad knowledge of commercial and Federal payer rules and regulations. Is able to apply this knowledge to ensure maximum reimbursement is received across all patient types.

    + QUALIFICATIONS

    + Professional/Educational

    + High school diploma or equivalency is necessary.

    + Typing, computer entry and other clerical skills and experience required.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology.

    + Knowledge of overall patient access/financial service process.

    + Personal

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Excellent customer service skills.

    + Attentive to detail / problem resolution.

     

    Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
