Arvato is seeking a Logistics Engineer with a strong focus on robotics and next-generation solution investigation to join our US team. This role will collaborate closely with the global Future Warehouse team to identify, evaluate, and implement innovative automation and robotics projects across our logistics operations. YOUR TASKS
* Research, evaluate, and implement cutting-edge robotics and automation solutions for multi-node fulfillment centers, enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Lead the investigation of emerging technologies, including AI-driven material handling, autonomous vehicles, and smart warehouse systems.
* Collaborate with the global Future Warehouse team to pilot and scale new solutions in the US market.
* Design and execute greenfield startup initiatives, integrating advanced robotics infrastructure for new facilities.
* Develop and present solution options to senior leadership, supporting informed decision-making on technology investments.
* Work cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and operations teams to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions.
* Manage complex RFQs for robotics and automation equipment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Provide technical guidance and training to team members on robotics and automation best practices.
* Utilize data analytics, process optimization, and material flow management to drive solution decision-making.
* Communicate effectively with management and global teams to share best practices and project learnings.
YOUR PROFILE
* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Robotics, or a related field required; Master’s preferred.
* 3+ years of experience in logistics engineering, robotics, or supply chain automation, ideally within a 3PL or advanced warehouse environment.
* Demonstrated experience with robotics integration, automation technologies, and systems implementation.
* Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering technology projects on time and within budget.
* Experience in budgeting, supplier management, and cost control for technology-driven logistics projects.
* Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and drive solutions with incomplete data.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working in global teams.
* Willingness to travel up to 25% to support project implementation and collaboration.
