Scope:
The Manager, Global Procurement Strategy will lead Colgate-Palmolive’s value‑chain decarbonization across priority procurement categories. You will embed Scope 3 reduction into sourcing strategies and supplier engagement, partner with divisions and functions to deliver measurable business impact, and build the capabilities, data, and governance needed to accelerate progress against our Science‑Based Targets. Additionally, you will contribute to supplier water resilience efforts.
Responsiblities:
+ Own the Scope 3 decarbonization roadmap for Purchased Goods & Services; define milestones and value cases (cost, risk, growth) and strategise progress in line with Colgate’s Science Based Net Zero Targets.
+ Embed carbon as a decision variable in procurement category strategies, RFPs, contracts.
+ Lead supplier engagement programs: identify & activate priority suppliers on target‑setting, renewable energy, primary data and reduction plans; co‑develop abatement levers and track progress.
+ Partner with R&D/Packaging, Procurement Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing and Sustainability to unlock design, material, and process levers (e.g., material switches, recycled content, energy).
+ Advance data quality and transparency: improve primary data coverage, emission‑factor quality, and automation for reporting and scenario modeling in line with guidelines set by the ESG controller team.
+ Build internal capability: role‑based training for buyers and category leaders; toolkits, playbooks, and commercial levers for decarbonization.
+ Govern and report: run cross‑functional forums, track KPIs, and report progress to leadership and external disclosures in partnership with Global Sustainability.
+ Identify and scale pilots (e.g., supplier energy programs, low‑carbon materials, Regenerative Agriculture) with clear P&L and emissions outcomes.
+ Engage with priority Suppliers on Water Resilience.
+ Actively participate in Industry Coalitions to co-develop standards, share best practices and accelerate decarbonization.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in related fields.
+ Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Sustainability (Climate).
+ Passion for corporate social responsibility, supplier engagement, and sustainable sourcing.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's Degree.
+ Experience in Sustainable Sourcing.
+ Curious mindset with strong interest in identifying and understanding new trends.
+ Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once.
+ Strong strategic and analytical skills.
+ Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
+ Ability to develop key messages for internal and external communication. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range $120,000.00 - $168,500.00 USD
Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, and location. Salaried employees may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing, and long-term incentives for Executive-level roles.
Benefits: Salaried employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, paid parental leave, disability coverage, and participation in the 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements. Additional benefits include a minimum of 15 vacation/PTO days (hourly employees receive a minimum of 120 hours) and 13 paid holidays (vacation days are prorated based on the employee's hire date within the calendar year). Paid sick leave is adjusted based on role and location in accordance with local laws. Detailed information regarding paid sick leave entitlements will be provided to employees upon hiring and may be subject to adjustments based on changes in legislation or company policies.
