As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the assigned area. Pay Rate: $22.61 / Hour** **Plus an an addional $5.55 / Hour for Federal Health and Welfare

What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.

+ Maintain a high-visibility presence while on patrol to help to deter criminal activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.

+ Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas.

+ Report and document incidents, observations, and/or unusual circumstances according to company and location protocols.

+ Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as directed and in compliance with company guidelines.

+ Follow all instructions for firearms handling and maintain compliance with applicable laws and Allied Universal standards for armed personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Possess a valid New Jersey Retired Police Officer Certificate.

+ An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
