    Scope of Purpose

     

    Participation in troubleshooting, process improvement, new equipment installation and documentation of electrical/mechanical infrastructure and process equipment.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Ability to assist in troubleshooting infrastructure equipment, systems and processes when required to ensure uninterrupted customer supply.

    + Works with Quality and Engineering to document repairs/changes made to equipment and/or electrical infrastructure.

    + Identifies critical spare parts to have on-hand to prevent extended downtime.

    + Participates in required PPA’s and electrical/mechanical shutdowns.

    + Ability to assist in troubleshooting to the component level.

    + Work closely with union trades, subcontractors and across all levels and organizations.

    + Self-starter and motivated to complete the task at hand.

    + Ability to multi-task.

    Requirements

    + Currently enrolled in an accredited program entering Junior or Senior year for BSEE or BSEET degree.

    + Ability to use AutoCAD to update electrical and mechanical drawings.

    + Ability to use electrical test meters, PC’s and/or schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipment/infrastructure.

    + Proficient with MS Office applications

    + Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2026 (May-August 2026) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later

    + Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.

    •The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly. Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
