    **Title:** IT Trainer, Credentialed I

    **Hours:** 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

    **Location:** Onsite; primarily located at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. Will require travel to Lowell General Hospital and Melrose Wakefield Hospital when trainings arise.

    Job Profile Summary

    •This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of information technology (IT) solutions in order to meet the organization's needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Client Applications Support duties: Designs, develops, implements, and updates internal IT applications in accordance with specifications and business needs., designs, codes, tests, and debugs computer programs, and prepares systems documentation and training. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. An entry level role that applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: work is closely supervised, problems faced are not typically difficult or complex, and explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

     

    Job Overview

     

    This position utilizes established curriculum, lessons, and training materials to conduct Epic and other third-party application training to end users. Work collaboratively with members of the project and training team to assist in developing and maintain the training program. This position has a varied work schedule to support the needs of the departments and employees needing training and support.

    Job Description

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. High school diploma or GED.

    2. One (1) year of Epic Trainer experience **OR** One (1) year of Epic IT experience **OR** Two (2) years of experience using Epic in a healthcare role **OR** Three (3) years of experience as a Trainer or Educator.

    3. Pass the Tufts Medicine onsite Epic credentialing program within 60 days of hire.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    1. Associates degree.

    2. Epic Credentialed Trainer.

    3. Experience as a Trainer or Educator.

    **Duties and Responsibilities:** The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

    1. Develop a strong understanding of Epic application(s) as implemented at Tufts Medicine entities.

    2. Lead in person workflow-based classes for clinical and non-clinical areas as assigned based on credentialing competency.

    3. Provide input and support for educational implementations.

    4. Collaborate with Principal Trainers to prepare approved materials and meet project timelines.

    5. Recommend adjustments and updates to learning materials and curriculum as needed.

    6. Administer competency tests.

    7. Respond to user needs and collaborate with other training staff to identify and develop appropriate technology solutions for teaching and learning.

    8. Maintain training records in the learning management system.

    9. Provide status reports and updates in a timely manner throughout projects.

    10. Travel to Tufts Medicine entities as needed for training, classes, meetings and project and upgrade go-live support.

    11. Assist staff with troubleshooting, personalization and optimizing efficiencies in their use of Epic and Epic integrated tools.

    13. Identify, track, and follow through on issues and questions related to Epic and integrated tools, using established channels of communication.

    14. Support the physician onboarding teams with enrolling providers in Imprivata EPCS, both in person and virtually.

    15. May re-assign service tickets.

    Physical Requirements:

    1. Frequent sitting, occasional standing & walking, and lifting up to 20 lbs.

    2. Mental requirements will be intense at times with involvement in many concurrent multi-faceted projects.

    3. Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate a computer keyboard or related equipment.

    4. Requires ability to see computer screen, monitoring equipment and reports.

    5. Flexible work hours to meet the needs of the user community required. Can include first, second or third shift work.

    6. Ability to travel to different company locations.

    10. Ability to read, understand, interpret, and apply technical manuals and documentation.
