Job Title: Civil Engineer EITJob Description

Responsibilities

+ Collect and analyze project data to inform design decisions.

+ Lead or assist in the design and development of roadway plans, specifications, design calculations, and technical documents.

+ Calculate quantities and develop cost estimates for projects.

+ Produce comprehensive plan sets and work with other design disciplines.

+ Utilize excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

+ Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in land development, civil engineering, Civil 3D, AutoCAD Civil 3D, EIT certification, and civil design.

+ Strong capabilities in site development, grading, drainage, stormwater management, and site planning.

+ Effective project management skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.

+ 0 - 2 years of experience in civil engineering.

+ Familiarity with MicroStation, GEOPAK/Corridor Modeling, and OpenRoads Designer.

+ Knowledge of NCDOT roadway design guidelines, standards, and specifications is a plus.

+ Prior internships with civil engineering firms are advantageous.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
