Job Title: Chemist Operator LeadJob Description
The Chemist Operator Lead is responsible for the production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients using chemical reactors. The role requires following specific batch records to ensure consistent product quality.
Responsibilities
+ Handle various unit operations including reactions, filtration, distillation, drying, and milling on raw materials and during various stages of chemical processing according to written manufacturing procedures and SOPs.
+ Follow and document batch sheet instructions to produce products in accordance with all cGMP guidelines.
+ Set up equipment such as vessels, tanks, centrifuges, and dryers for proper processing, and clean and verify equipment and vessels.
+ Record observations of operating conditions.
+ Drive and operate a fork truck.
+ Make work prioritization or timing decisions with supervisory oversight.
+ Adjust utilities to maintain reaction parameters.
+ Maintain process flow through the plant while adhering to all safety, GMP, and environmental regulations/standards.
Essential Skills
+ Experience as a Chemist Operator.
+ Proficiency in GC and Analytical Chemistry.
+ Expertise in Chemical Operating and Chemistry.
+ Capability in batching processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ An AS Degree in Sciences, ideally in Chemical Technology or Chemistry.
+ 5-7 years of experience in Pharma Chemical Operating.
Work Environment
This position is based in a clean laboratory and production environment. The work schedule follows a 2-2-3 pattern from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., including working every other weekend.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grafton, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
