Description
• Design, develop and test electrical systems and components for UAS platforms • Develop and debug microcontroller systems and circuits • Work with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms • Develop and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams, and documentation for electrical systems in UAS platforms • Act as the Avionics liaison between engineering and the production line. • Address and close out non-conformances from the production line. • Develop and perform electrical tests and test procedures to verify system functionality • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality electrical systems Qualifications: • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field • Experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting circuits in UAS platforms • Proficiency in Altium for circuit board / harness design • Knowledge of analog and digital circuits, power supplies, and CAN bus communication • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work well in a team environment Expected outcomes: • 3 Months: Work on existing UAS electrical systems projects, learning our development processes and systems. Participate in cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems into UAS platforms. • 6 Months: Take on more responsibility, including leading small electrical systems projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Take over responsibility for closing out avionics NCRs from the production line. • 12 Months: Take over full responsibility as the liaison between the avionics design engineering team and the production line.

This is a Contract position based out of San Luis Obispo, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
