    Job Title: Technician - Battery Pack Assembly

    Job Description:

    Join the Production Engineering Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Battery Pack Assembly group and contribute to the development and support of equipment across North America and global teams. This role requires collaboration with teams to ensure compliance with standards, perform risk assessments, and confirm the safety and quality of equipment.

    Responsibilities

    + Support the equipment development within the Battery Pack Assembly group.

    + Assist in developing equipment specifications to ensure compliance with standards.

    + Conduct equipment machine risk assessments and confirmations.

    + Perform safety, electrical, and mechanical design confirmations for equipment.

    + Ensure safety interlocks for equipment, conveyor, and logistics hardware.

    + Participate in equipment confirmations during vendor buy-off trials and larger zone trials.

    + Adjust equipment to meet safety, quality, and productivity targets.

    + Travel to vendors and NAMCs in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Japan.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in PLC programming with brands such as Omron, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Allen-Bradley.

    + Experience with equipment installation, AutoCAD, and Catia.

    + Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field.

    + Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.

    + Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

    + Ability and willingness to work up to 25% overtime, including 12-hour shifts and weekend/holiday work.

    + Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% at peak times, both domestically and internationally.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience with manufacturing equipment procurement and installation.

    + Experience with Kawasaki or Fanuc Industrial Robots for part transfer or auto-tightening.

    + Experience with Keyence or other vision system setup and integration.

    + Experience with AMRs and AGV Traffic Control systems.

    + Self-motivated and flexible to work with different teams.

    Work Environment

    This position is located in Georgetown, KY, and requires 100% on-site presence. Working hours are either 7 AM to 4 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM local time. The role involves up to 50% travel during peak times, including potential international travel to Canada, Mexico, and Japan. Candidates should be prepared to work overtime, including weekends, as project needs dictate. Personal Protective Equipment such as steel-toe shoes and safety glasses are required, with additional PPE provided as needed.

    This is a Contract position based out of Georgetown, KY.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
