Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (100% Remote)

What You’ll Do

+ Analyze engineering problems and establish performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes.

+ Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials science.

+ Collaborate with project teams to set priorities and assess impacts across disciplines.

+ Provide effective solutions and define deliverables to meet client needs.

+ Review and approve complex calculations and design deliverables.

+ Recommend resources and special equipment to optimize project execution.

What You Bring

+ BS in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.

+ 2–7 years of relevant experience, ideally supporting nuclear power plant design.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD and mechanical design.

+ Strong knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear plant design.

+ Experience with Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards and Engineering Change Control processes.

+ Excellent time management and communication skills.

+ Ability to build trust and interface effectively with station customers.

Additional Skills

+ Experience designing in the nuclear industry.

+ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.

+ Familiarity with client processes in nuclear power generation utilities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Naperville, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $60.10/hr.
