We are seeking a results-driven and growth-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Branford, CT. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing both analog and digital electronic circuits within our organization. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in designing, simulating, and laying out complex circuits, especially for sensor signal conditioning applications, in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. A solid understanding of basic sensor principles is essential for developing interfacing electronic hardware.
Responsibilities
+ Manage all aspects of new and sustaining electrical design work, including concept circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, and PCB layout of integrated electronics within aerospace sensor transducers.
+ Develop analytical models of sensor systems during the concept and early development phases to validate initial design methodologies.
+ Design electronic hardware to match analytical performance, incorporating commercially available integrated circuits, ASICs, and other components to meet system accuracy, temperature compensation, power input, and EMI protection requirements.
+ Layout printed circuit boards for engineering tests and production using design tools.
+ Develop front-end electronics to meet rigorous aerospace EMI standards.
+ Develop and manage the electrical system bill of materials with a focus on cost and obsolescence management.
+ Conduct hands-on testing and debugging of fabricated circuitry with minimal supervision.
+ Support high-quality product delivery to the production team via the Production Readiness process with a collaborative mindset.
+ Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure timely procurement of materials and execution of work orders.
+ Contribute innovative solutions to technical challenges within the aerospace industry.
+ Travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.
Essential Skills
+ Electrical engineering with a focus on circuit design and testing.
+ Experience in designing and simulating complex analog circuits for sensor signal conditioning applications.
+ Strong numerical computational skills (e.g., Matlab, MATHCAD) for developing and validating sensor models.
+ Intricate knowledge of aerospace sensor components and related systems.
+ Ability to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical presentations.
+ Understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software systems used in aviation sensor products or their manufacturing.
+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
+ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field, with at least three years of experience in circuit designing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Graduate-level degree (MS or PhD) preferred.
+ Mechanical and software design engineering experience preferred.
+ Knowledge and experience with DO-254 is a plus.
+ Successful track record of developing products that generate significant business revenue.
+ Knowledge of aircraft cable harnesses and sensors is a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of Branford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
