Job Title: General Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a General Maintenance Technician, you will perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs on material-handling and other Distribution Center equipment. You will utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure distribution machinery and equipment are maintained according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and good maintenance practices. Additionally, you will maintain the efficient operation of material handling equipment by clearing jams and removing foreign materials and perform general building maintenance such as lamp replacement, simple construction, wiring, and repair of overhead doors and plumbing.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on material-handling and distribution center equipment.

+ Perform minor mechanical repairs as needed.

+ Utilize CMMS-generated preventive maintenance worksheets to maintain equipment.

+ Clear jams and remove foreign materials to ensure efficient operation of material handling equipment.

+ Perform general building maintenance tasks, including lamp replacement, simple construction, wiring, and plumbing repairs.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in preventive maintenance and conveyor maintenance.

+ Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.

+ Knowledge of plumbing, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

+ Experience in industrial electricity, including single-phase and three-phase power, motors, protective devices, and photo sensors.

+ At least 1 year of experience with hand and power tools in a facilities, United States Armed Forces, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associate’s Degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology or at least 2 years of maintenance experience in a relevant environment.

+ Understanding of mechanical theory, including bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyor, construction, and operation.

Work Environment

You will work in a distribution center environment, utilizing various technologies and equipment. The role involves hands-on tasks with tools such as drills, fasteners, and saws, requiring attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Moreno Valley, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
