Job Title: Concrete Carpenter
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled concrete carpenter with experience in steel building construction. This role involves constructing, installing, and repairing concrete formwork and steel-framed structures, primarily in commercial and industrial environments. The ideal candidate combines traditional carpentry expertise with specialized knowledge in steel building assembly and concrete finishing.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and brace various types of concrete forms including wood, plywood, and proprietary systems.
+ Pour, smooth, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, sidewalks, and curbs.
+ Conduct pre-pour inspections and post-pour finishing tasks.
+ Assemble and erect steel structures including columns, purlins, girts, and frames.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings.
+ Install metal roofing, siding, and structural components.
+ Perform rough and finish carpentry including framing, drywall, trim, and cabinetry.
+ Use hand and power tools such as drills, saws, impacts, and framing squares.
+ Collaborate with other trades and project managers to meet construction timelines.
+ Follow OSHA safety protocols and participate in daily job safety analysis (JSA).
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
+ Use PPE including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility gear, and steel-toe boots.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 4–6 years of experience in concrete forming and steel building construction.
+ Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring instruments such as tape measures and laser levels.
+ Familiarity with proprietary form systems and steel framing techniques.
+ Ability to lift and manipulate heavy materials up to 80 lbs.
+ Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
+ Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
+ Forklift and lift operation cards are a plus.

Work Environment
Outdoor job sites with varying weather conditions. Team sizes range from 5 to 10 depending on project scope. Typical work hours are from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Projects may require travel up to 1.5 hours from home base.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hermiston, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
