Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Menlo Park, California. This role is ideal for candidates with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in general ledger management and financial reconciliation. You will play a key role in supporting the accounting team and contributing to critical financial projects.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the General Ledger team in consolidating accounts, posting journal entries, and reconciling financial statements.

• Manage approximately 10% of the company's accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.

• Collaborate on project-based initiatives to validate data and streamline accounting processes.

• Conduct detailed reviews of journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.

• Utilize Oracle Fusion to support accounting tasks and enhance system efficiency.

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.

• Provide analytical support to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting accuracy.

• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure alignment on financial objectives.

• Support audit preparation and respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on General Ledger and financial reconciliation.

• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion or similar HCM SaaS platforms.

• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and journal entries.

• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and reconcile financial data efficiently.

• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation.

• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.

• Solid communication skills to convey financial information clearly and accurately.
