    Description

    Our client, a busy mid-sized litigation firm in Walnut Creek, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Paralegal to support attorneys in a high-volume practice handling wage & hour, discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination claims. This is a contract opportunity with potential to extend or convert and offers a hybrid work schedule.

    Responsibilities

    + Draft and respond to written discovery (interrogatories, requests for production/admission)

    + Assist attorneys with motions, pleadings, and briefs for state and federal court

    + Conduct legal research and fact investigations on labor and employment claims

    + Prepare case chronologies, witness binders, and trial exhibits

    + Coordinate depositions, mediations, and hearings; manage calendars and logistics

    + Maintain organized case files and deadlines using docketing systems

    + Support attorneys with client communication and intake

    Requirements

    + 2+ years of paralegal experience focused on labor and employment litigation

    + Strong knowledge of California labor/employment law, including PAGA and FEHA

    + Experience with e-filing in state and federal courts

    + Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    + Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
