Position Description
The Administrative Services Officer 2 participates in a variety of management services essential to direction and operation of a department. Performs related duties as required.
Davidson County Juvenile Court’s mission is to prevent problems, promote the positive potential in all people, and pursue fairness and hope.
Typical Duties
+ Performs analysis of administrative management problems within an operating department.
+ Studies and recommends human resource needs, organization, staffing patterns, work flow simplification, equipment specifications, or procurement.
+ Researches administrative problems and recommends solutions.
+ Prepares various statistical reports relating to tracking and solving specific and general organizational and operational problems.
+ Participates in development of or amendment to department rules, policies, and procedures.
+ May study administrative implications of new laws and regulations and recommend organizational and procedural changes as needed.
+ Participates in coordination of various administrative programs.
+ Participates in development of financial, personnel, safety, and/or material acquisition programs.
+ Maintains control of expenditures and allotment balances.
+ May participate in development of budget estimates and justifications.
+ May oversee an administrative program within department.
+ May devise office forms.
+ May prepare requisitions and approve purchase orders.
+ Maintains liaison with administrative personnel in other departments to facilitate efficient operation of the department.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree plus one (1) year of professional experience in an administrative, financial, technical, or related field.

Note: Per Metro Ordinance No. SO94-1078. All employees of the Metropolitan Government shall be residents of the State of Tennessee or become residents of the state within six (6) months of employment as a prerequisite to employment with the Metropolitan Government.
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
+ Knowledge of the principles and practices of Juvenile Court
