    Data Center Technician

    Job Description:

    We are seeking experienced Data Center Technicians to join our IT team. This role involves troubleshooting large GPU deployments, server and network break-fix, and cabling within an enterprise data center environment. Candidates should have hands-on experience with rack installations, cabling standards, and ITSM ticket management.

    Open Roles & Requirements:

    + L4 Technician:

    + 3-5+ years of data center/networking experience

    + Expertise in troubleshooting GPU deployments

    + L3 Technician:

     

    1-3+ years of data center/networking experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Perform break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network, and cabling

    + Deploy and configure GPUs in servers

    + Rack and stack equipment, including fully populated GPU/network racks

    + Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures

    + Interpret BOMs and ensure material accuracy

    + Manage tickets using ITSM tools

    + Lead and manage team activities and ensure compliance with data center standards

    + Provide documentation and daily updates using MS Office tools

    Required Skills & Experience:

    + 3–10+ years in data center deployment and troubleshooting

    + Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling (Cat5, Cat6), fiber optics (SM, MM, MPO)

    + Experience with optical modules (SFP, QSFP)

    + Familiarity with Microsoft data center environments

    + Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects

    + Willingness to travel as required

    Shift Options:

    + A Side Days: Sun–Tue & every other Wed (6 AM–6 PM)

    + A Side Nights: Same days (6 PM–6 AM)

    + B Side Days: Thu–Sat & every other Wed (6 AM–6 PM)

    + B Side Nights: Same days (6 PM–6 AM)

    Pay Rate:

    Up to $49.50/hour

    Enterprise Skills:

    Data center, deployment, fiber optic cable, rack and stack, cabling, troubleshooting, Cat6/Cat5, GPU

    Top Skills:

    + 3–7+ years of DC Tech experience (Break/Fix, Deployment, Troubleshooting)

    + GPU Deployment experience (preferred)

    + Hardware installation and cabling expertise

    This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $49.50/hr.
