    Job Title: Medical Scheduler

     

    Employment Type: 6 month contract-to-hire

    Pay Rate: $17/hour

    Schedule: Training: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM (approx. 6 weeks).

     

    After Training: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM. Must be flexible and available to work every other weekend.

     

    Start Date: December 8, 2025

    About the Role

    We are seeking an entry-level Medical Scheduler to join a high-volume scheduling team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth patient experience by managing appointment scheduling, handling incoming calls, and coordinating with multiple departments.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Answer and transfer a high volume of incoming calls.

    + Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently.

    + Respond to patient inquiries and follow up to ensure resolution.

    + Monitor rooms and respond promptly to patient needs.

    + Perform emergency overhead paging when required.

    + Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service at all times.

    Required Skills

    + Strong customer service and phone etiquette.

    + Proficient computer skills and ability to type at least 30 WPM.

    + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

    + Flexibility with shifts and willingness to work every other weekend.

    + Reliable transportation and commitment to attendance.

    Preferred Skills

    + Experience in scheduling or call center environments.

    + Familiarity with medical terminology and patient scheduling systems.

    + Previous roles such as medical secretary, receptionist, or office assistant.

     

    Work Environment

     

    + Business casual dress code (no denim, athletic wear, scrubs, or sneakers).

    + Office setting, not patient-facing.

    + Free parking available.

    Additional Details

    + Training: Approximately 6 weeks on first shift (8:30 AM–4:30 PM).

    + Compliance: Background check, drug screening, and education verification required (GED or higher).

    + No time off during the first 90 days.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
