The Colorado Fetal Care Center at the Children's Hospital of Colorado is seeking a board certified OBGyn Hospitalist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in a very unique obstetrical care unit. This will be a 0.55 - 0.8 FTE (eventually 1.0 by the 2 half of 2027) faculty at the rank of Senior Instructor. The primary focus of the Hospitalist will be the clinical care of obstetrical patients in the Special Delivery Unit.Responsibilities will include care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients within one unit. Additional responsibilities include the perioperative management of fetal surgical patients. Care coordination occurs in conjunction with CNMs, NPS, nurses, anesthesiologists, MFMs and various pediatric surgical subspecialists and neonatologists.Labor and delivery management includes primary or assistant surgeon in cesarean, operative vaginal and spontaneous vaginal deliveries.Candidates must have demonstrated capability and experience in providing evidence-based and patient-centered OB/GYN care and in collaborating and coordinating care in clinical teams that enhance the patient experience with a commitment to excellence in clinical care, patient safety, and patient satisfaction.The successful candidate must hold an MD or DO degree and be Board Certified in OB/GYN at the time of hire. A minimum of 5 years' post-residency experience is preferred. Experience in high volume/high-risk obstetrics is also preferred.Key Responsibilities:
+ May supervise clinical providers including resident physicians and nurse practitioners and provide performance feedback in all aspects of clinical functions.
+ Supervise and ensure high quality of all clinical care services provided in the practice.
+ Continually review current pediatric standards of care and work with leadership team to implement new processes as needed. Respond to clinical alerts and updates from public health officials and others.
+ May participate in and/or oversee research activities, as needed, at the practice and provide feedback and consultation for studies as they progress. Delegate operational functions to other support staff as needed to accomplish the research goals and objectives.

+ Active medical license in Colorado as well as other states in which s/he is expected to practice.
+ Current DEA License
+ Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Obstetrics and Gynecology required.
+ Required Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Working knowledge of hospital policies, practices and protocols as well as applicable regulations and guidelines.
+ Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
+ Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving, decision-making.
+ Skill in developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public.
+ Ability to research and prepare comprehensive reports.
+ Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and electronic)

The hiring range for this position has been established as:Senior Instructor: $252,500 for 1.0 FTEThe above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
