The *Ideal candidate* is a highly motivated pharmacy professional with a strong academic foundation, holding a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or a Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy. Candidates with a Doctorate (Professional) degree are strongly preferred. Strongly prefer at least 1 year of Pharmacist experience.
*Working Hours *- The working hours for this position are 8:30a - 7pm. Mon-Fri.
*Hourly Breakdown* - Minimum - $62.01 - Midpoint - $77.64 - Maximum - $93.27

*Job-Specific Competencies*
• Meet productivity guidelines with 95% accuracy and maintain performance within 20% of area averages.
• Follow established procedures to ensure accurate dosing and inventory management.
• Interpret physician orders, verify for allergies, interactions, and duplicate therapies, and use sound judgment when contacting healthcare professionals for clarification.
• Provide professional counseling using OBRA guidelines; maintain up-to-date professional knowledge and technical expertise.
• Demonstrate proficiency with all required computer systems and applications.
• Ensure correct medication delivery using two patient identifiers; follow proper inventory procedures to avoid discrepancies.
• Participate actively in clinical initiatives and special projects.

*REQUIREMENTS*
Education Required: Bachelor's of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
Education Preferred: Doctorate (Professional)
Certification Required: Eligible to receive a license to practice pharmacy in the State of Texas by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
Certification Preferred: Basic Life Support
Experience Preferred: At least one year of Pharmacist experience
Licenses and Certifications:
• Required: RPH - Registered Pharmacist Texas State Board of Pharmacy. within 90 Days and
• Required: BLS - Basic Life Support American Heart Association (AHA). within 30 Days and
• Required: ACLS - Adv Cardiac Life Support American Heart Association (AHA). If working in one of the following departments: Pharmacy Inpatient (710348), Pharmacy OP ACB (710355), Pharmacy-West Houston (710657), Pharmacy-The Woodlands (710480), Pharmacy-NWH Sur&SP Care (711204). within 90 Days
This position may be responsible for maintaining the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, as defined in Section 113.001(2) of the Texas Business and Commerce Code and therefore may require routine reviews and screening. The ability to satisfy and maintain all requirements necessary to ensure the continued security and integrity of such infrastructure is a condition of hire and continued employment.
