    Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPV ITSPEC (CUSTOMER SUPPORT/INFOSEC), Position Description Number T5821300 and is part of the 106TH RQW, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. This is a temporary NTE 1 year appointment. Responsibilities As a SUPV IT SPEC (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC), GS-2210-12, you will perform a full range of supervisory functions providing administrative control and technical direction and oversight for subordinate personnel. Responsible for oversight of all functions in the Information Systems Branch. Performs oversight of the Unit COMSEC program. Ensures viable training programs exist for all assigned network systems and Information Assurance (IA) programs and procedures. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel. Experience and knowledge with duties associated with computer networks with primary knowledge requirements of the transmission of information in voice, data, and/or video formats, information processing methodology, computer capabilities, processing techniques and information security techniques. Experience that covers work that manages, supervises, leads, administers, develops, delivers, and supports information technology (IT) systems and services. Knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, networking. This position conducts information assurance functions. The incumbent shall comply with the requirements of the certification program and will be required to obtain and maintain certification. Certification requirements are outlined in DoD Instruction 8140 This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel (NGB-J1.)
