We are seeking an accomplished Lead Brake Systems Engineer to drive the flawless delivery of our globally integrated brake systems. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your deep expertise in brake systems, program management, and leadership to guide complex projects from concept through launch, ensuring exceptional execution and delivery.
You will provide critical leadership in program management, quality assurance, and cost-saving initiatives to our global brake applications teams. This will be achieved by championing process improvements, facilitating the establishment of clear, measurable (SMART) goals, and actively coaching and developing our talented brake systems engineers globally. You will apply your proven innovative mindset to continuously enhance our engineering processes, ensuring our teams deliver programs and results with exceptional efficiency, timeliness, and robustness.

• Lead the implementation of strategic initiatives in close collaboration with the Brake Systems Manager, ensuring alignment with overall departmental goals and vision
• Lead the identification, tracking, and visualization of key performance metrics and data to provide actionable insights for organizational management and continuous improvement
• Lead continuous improvements to the Brake Milestone Review process, including updating templates, defining review expectations, and ensuring timely execution
• Develop, optimize, and manage the meeting cadence and communication structure for the brake engineering organization to ensure efficient information flow and decision-making.
• Initiate and drive improvements to brake processes and tools, enhancing delivery robustness and operational efficiency.
• Present and lead discussions on critical brake systems topics with management and key stakeholders.
• Mentor and coach brake systems engineers, guiding them to achieve flawless program delivery and exceed performance expectations.
• Facilitate brake systems engineering meetings, driving process updates and fostering knowledge transfer across teams.
• Drive the fixed brake team to achieve Total Value Management (TVM) objectives, ensuring efficient resource utilization and cost optimization.
• Oversee the fixed brake team's quality objectives, proactively identifying trends and implementing early interventions to mitigate quality deviations.
• Actively participate in milestone reviews, identifying process improvements and providing support as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
• Act as a primary liaison between engineering teams and the connected vehicle data engineer to facilitate critical data gathering and analysis for brake systems.
• Establish and manage SMART goals for the brake team, leveraging historical data to define clear objectives and track progress effectively.
• Champion the adoption of data analytics tools to enhance the brake team's understanding of quality metrics, TVM status, and potential quality risks.
• Co-manage the Brake Matched Pair Agenda, ensuring timely initiation of sourcing discussions to support all downstream program deliverables.
• Oversee the strategic management and evolution of the Brake Department's organizational chart and SharePoint platforms to optimize information accessibility and collaboration
• Lead the development and completion of comprehensive business cases for the brake team
• Serve as the primary interface between core and applications engineering, including facilitating discussions during Brake Tech Club meetings and process change initiatives.

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
• 5+ Years in Brake Engineering Experience
• 5+ Years in milestone delivery (GTDS)
