The Impact You'll Make
Danfoss is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer whose primary responsibility will be to design and implement processes. These processes will allow Danfoss to meet targets for both existing and new products. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with collegues to achieve key performance indicators for safety, quality, delivery, continuous improvement, and cost.
This is an onsite position in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
What You’ll Be Doing
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Support the development of products, manufacturing processes, and infrastructure.
• Designs, implement, and improve manufacturing processes using Lean tools such as line balancing,
Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis, Standard Work, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Analyses and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
• Willing to be hands-on, flexible, and committed to the success of the company goals.
• Develop production testers to ensure system performance.
• Influence, lead, and work in cooperation with cross-functional teams to meet changing demands.
• Evaluates and implement new technologies within manufacturing and automation.
• Confers with planning and design teams concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods and design for automation.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualfications:
• 3–5 years of industrial manufacturing experience, including process improvement, production support, and equipment troubleshooting in high-volume environments.
• Knowledgeable in Six Sigma methodologies, applying data-driven problem-solving to reduce defects and improve efficiency.
• Hands-on expertise with hydraulic motor test stands, including setup, calibration, and performance validation for quality assurance.
• Demonstrated project management skills, leading cross-functional teams, coordinating resources, and delivering complex manufacturing projects on time and within budget.
Preferred qualifications:
• Proficient in CNC machine programming and coding, with hands-on experience creating and optimizing machining programs for precision components.
• Skilled in heat treating processes for industrial equipment metals, ensuring durability, hardness, and performance standards are consistently met.
• Experienced in project scheduling and workflow management using Gantt charts, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliverables.
