    Job Title: Sanitation Lead

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Lead to manage and guide our sanitation crew within the food manufacturing industry. This role requires a proactive individual who can ensure adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation standards while effectively communicating with multiple departments.

    Responsibilities

    + Enforce company Lock Out Tag Out and food safety procedures across the sanitation team

    + Train crew members on proper handling and identification of approved sanitation chemicals

    + Ensure compliance with GMPs, regulatory standards, and company directives for product quality, sanitation, food safety, employee safety, and environmental practices

    + Assign and oversee daily workload for sanitation technicians

    + Coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality teams to complete timely sanitation of equipment and areas

    + Conduct sanitation audits and implement corrective actions when needed

    + Partner with the Quality team to develop and improve sanitation procedures, techniques, and testing plans

    + Support departmental training on SOPs, GMPs, and documentation requirements

    + Maintain and service sanitation equipment, including preventative maintenance and recordkeeping

    + Monitor crew performance to ensure adherence to SOPs and sanitation standards

    + Perform routine sanitation tasks such as area inspections, cleaning, sanitizing, and auditing

    + Prepare work orders, tool checklists, and assist with Master Sanitation Schedule documentation

    + Report issues and concerns promptly to appropriate personnel

    + Essential Skills

    + Minimum 1 year of experience as a sanitation lead, with a preference for 2-3 years.

    + Experience in food manufacturing or hospital setting.

    + Experience with chemicals.

    + Leadership experience and ability to direct others.

    + Strong time management and problem-solving skills.

    + Bilingual abilities are a plus.

    Work Environment

    Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves leading a team of 7 sanitation technicians in a dynamic food manufacturing environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
