    Guardian is seeking a Human Resources Talent Partner (“HRTP”) Leader to partner and drive strategic transformation of our Digital and Technology organization. This role requires strong leadership and consultative skills to facilitate organizational, talent and culture change, while building leadership capability. This role requires the HRTP to be both strategic and hands-on to execute in many facets of talent planning, demonstrating the ability to solve problems, and coach leaders through transformation and change.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    You Will

    + Act as a strategic thought leader for respective client groups within the Digital & Technology organization. Provide trusted consultation and thought leadership to senior leaders and their teams, developing and implementing talent strategies, both short and long-term, in a high transformation environment.

    + Anticipate future organization and talent requirements and in partnership with leaders, make actionable organization design recommendations to enable the business to achieve its objectives while leveraging organizational talent.

    + Design and implement engagement and retention strategies focusing on key leaders and individuals with skills critical to the organization – now and for the future.

    + Develop effective leaders within the organization, focusing on leadership needs and key themes identified as part of talent discussions; creating strategies to close talent gaps, develop bench strength for succession and talent management.

    + Support the leadership team through deployment of transformation, change management strategies and communication plans as the business grows and evolves.

    + Establish and monitor organization and talent metrics aligned that align with the business strategy.

    + Recommend solutions to improve processes, team dynamics, etc. to optimize organizational effectiveness.

    + Coach leaders on their personal efficacy and leadership impact.

    + Maintain an effective level of business literacy and technology savvy to be able to substantively contribute to the success of the organization.

    + Leverage enterprise and HR Center of Excellence (COE) resources to bring comprehensive HR solutions to the business.

    + Execute enterprise HR initiatives and processes in partnership with COEs.

    FUNCTIONAL SKILLS AND LEADERSHIP BEHAVIORS

    Business Acumen

    You have:

    + 10 plus years of human resources experience, with demonstrated business acumen and ability to create and implement human capital initiatives that enable the business strategy. Ideally, with strong technology functional background, in agile, product platform operating model.

    + The ability to work effectively within the organization’s financial and operational context.

    + Demonstrated financial and analytical acumen to synthesize and prioritize ranging issues and activities, thus be highly effective in formulating coordinated action plans and activities.

     

    Data Judgment

    You have:

    + Experience leveraging data to influence decision making outcomes with ability to “tell the story”

    + Demonstrated strong analytical and assessment skills.

     

    Strategic Thinking

    You have:

    + The ability to develop and execute solutions to business challenges and connect the dots to influence strategic business decisions.

    + Strategic Human Resource Thought Leadership – are able to execute HR strategies across the organization in an efficient manner.

    Relationship Management/ Collaboration:

    You have:

    + The ability to build relationships and quickly earn the trust of leaders, partners, key stakeholders and collaborators, building credibility and becoming their trusted advisor

    + Proven experience in driving change, negotiating with and influencing leaders and key stakeholders across all levels.

    + Demonstrated ability to make difficult decisions and navigate challenging conversations effectively.

     

    Talent Management

    You have:

    + Demonstrated expertise in business and talent strategy, culture change, workforce planning, data and analytics, organizational design, talent management, and transformational organizational changes.

    + The ability to identify, support and execute HR activities of strategic value to the organization and meet employees' needs across the employee life cycle.

    + The ability to inspire employees at all levels and drive the talent agenda forward.

     

    Agility

    You have:

    + The ability to respond to shifts in the business environment and to adapt and change course when necessary.

    + The ability to use excellent judgment while working with multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    + Intellectual curiosity; brings insights into the team and business with continual willingness to learn.

    + Proven ability to foster change, influence leadership and build relationships with all colleague levels and be regarded as a trusted partner

    Position Qualifications:

    You Have

    + 10 plus years of progressive human resources business partner experience with a strong business acumen and ability to contribute to the business strategy. Ideally, spent time as HR business partner to progressive technology function.

    + BA/BS required, MBA / MS in Human Resources or related skills in technology function highly desirable.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills for multiple audiences including staff, management, and senior executives.

    + Proven project leader experience in a highly matrixed organization working across many businesses.

    + High degree of self-direction, demonstrating initiative and an ability to navigate multiple priorities effectively and deliver results in a dynamic environment.

    + Detail oriented mindset with a disciplined approach to process.

    + Track record of instilling best practices and innovation into the HR function and leveraging COE’s to bring innovation to the business.

    LOCATION:

    + The primary location for this position is New York, NY with travel to other offices as needed.

    TRAVEL:

    + 10-15% travel as needed.

    Salary Range:

    $155,370.00 - $255,255.00

     

    The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
