Description:
The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, supportive, and well-functioning environment for clients, staff, and visitors. This position provides leadership and oversight across several essential service areas including: dietary, environmental services, equipment oversight, risk prevention/management, and building/facility issues. The Operations Supervisor ensures that all areas function efficiently, remain in compliance with regulatory standards, and align with the mission of House of Mercy.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** **:
+ Serve as an active member of the House of Mercy leadership team, collaborating across departments to align operations with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.
+ Supervise, guide, and direct dietary services to ensure that meals are prepared and served according to health, safety and nutrition guidelines.
+ Monitor dietary staff performance, training and scheduling.
+ Supervise, guide and direct environmental services staff performance, training and scheduling.
+ Oversee daily housekeeping and sanitation practices across all facilities.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED** **:
+ Bachelor’s degree in a human services related discipline from an accredited program, required.
+ CADC certification, preferred.
+ Valid Driver’s License required, must meet Mercy’s Motor Vehicle Safety Standards, must be at least 18 years of age and be eligible to drive per Iowa state law.
+ One (1) year supervisory experience, preferred.
+ Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a human services or related field, such as healthcare, behavioral health, social services, or nonprofit administration.
+ Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within 30 days of employment.
