JOB SUMMARY
The experienced Business Intelligence Analyst-Developer will work closely with business users to understand functional requirements and develop business solutions that improve the company's processes and increase overall operational efficiencies. In this role, the BI Analyst/Developer mines data, develops analytics tools, and reports back on findings and solutions to executives and business users. Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation is essential, along with the ability to design and implement efficient queries and stored procedures. Experience with data integration from various sources and a strong grasp of data warehousing concepts are crucial. The candidate should also be adept at troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and ensuring data accuracy. As part of the company’s evolving analytics strategy, experience working with AI-enabled productivity and analytics tools, including generative AI platforms and Microsoft Copilot is expected.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst-Developer will be accustomed to reviewing up to 15–20 reports per day for operational monitoring, including refresh validation, bug resolution, usage analysis, and scheduling adjustments, while also dedicating time to developing or enhancing 1–3 reports. The BI Analyst-Developer will bring familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and data lakes, experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau), knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R, and experience in data visualization best practices. Strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in working within a collaborative team environment will be advantageous.
Leverage business intelligence tools such as Power BI to present data and visualization from the data warehouse or operational databases for actionable business insights. Methodical at providing troubleshooting and have strong attention to detail as well as a passion for learning.
Experience using AI-enabled analytics or productivity tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, large language model platforms, or automated data-analysis assistants, to streamline report development, enhance documentation, support data exploration, and improve workflow efficiency is preferred.
Collaborate with data architects and ETL developer in providing business intelligence requirements and developing data marts/subject areas supporting the business. Interface with our ERP vendors to extract additional information from our ERP systems into operational databases. Document solutions and train users on how to run and use the tools and develop/maintain the company Business Intelligence glossary and report inventory.
CORE SKILLS/COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or Business Administration or similar field of study
5 plus years’ hands-on experience with the following:
+ Power BI
+ Creating SQL queries and views within MS SQL Server
+ MS Excel, and Excel Pivot tables
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience using AI-assisted analytics, development, or automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or equivalent)

Industry experience:
