    Job Overview:

    A Senior Embedded Software Engineering job in Bothell, WA is currently available through Belcan at one of our key aerospace clients. To be considered for this role, you will have a B.S. in Software Engineering or equivalent and 10+ years of relevant experience. This position involves design, development, and maintenance of embedded software for real-time control systems, guidance and navigation, and telemetry.

    Job Duties:

    * Lead as a SME for software development, peer reviews, and design updates

    * Guide team throughout the software development lifecycle, including process development and improvement

    * Perform functional analysis and trade studies to design software solutions

    * Analyze software architecture and requirements to define system behavior, allocate requirement, integrate systems and perform verification

    * Plan technical milestones and supporting documentation and presentation materials

    * Brief internal and external customers

    Required Qualifications:

    * Due to the nature of the work performed, US CITIZENSHIP is a REQUIREMENT

    * Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent

    * 10+ years experience in developing embedded software solutions

    * Proven embedded software development experience using C/C++

    * Experience architecting embedded software solutions for safety-critical applications

    * Thorough understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming principles

    * Experience implementing of communication protocols, sensor interfacing, and signal processing

    * Experience with system integration including hardware/software interactions

    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

    * Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutions.

    * Collaborative team player with the ability to provide technical leadership and position others for success.

    * Self-starter that can perform independently with minimal direction.

    * Deep understanding of missile systems, components, and certification.

    * Experience designing scalable and maintainable software solutions.

    * Familiarity with model-based design.

     

    We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $120,000 to $165,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
