ob Title: Telehealth Nurse

Job Description

Provide expert counseling and education to new and existing patients regarding specialty drug therapies. Ensure compliance with contracted and accrediting regulations as per drug specifications. Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in line with good documentation practices and industry standards. Educate patients on potential and current side effects, facilitating treatment alternatives and therapy adherence. Report adverse events and product complaints to manufacturers, the FDA, and other governing authorities.

Responsibilities

+ Counsel and educate patients on specialty drug therapies.

+ Ensure adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations.

+ Complete thorough and accurate documentation.

+ Discuss side effects with patients and suggest treatment alternatives.

+ Report adverse events and product complaints to appropriate authorities.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in telehealth and triage.

+ Experience in acute care and oncology nursing.

+ Current RN license with an unrestricted multi-state or NC licensure.

+ 3-5 years of post-graduate experience in pharmacy operations and patient care.

+ 5 or more years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in acute inpatient care.

+ Ability to obtain licensing in all serviced states and territories within 3 months.

+ Proficiency in computer skills including email, word processing, and web-based programs.

+ Effective communication skills, both oral and written.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Associates, Bachelor, or higher in Nursing or an accredited nursing diploma.

+ Experience with motivational interviewing.

+ Ability to analyze and interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations.

Work Environment

Work hours are Monday to Friday from 9 am to 6 pm with a one-hour lunch break. Must possess a valid North Carolina multi-state nursing license with no restrictions. Engage in a dynamic and supportive environment with a focus on patient care and access, working with a leader in healthcare.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $41.00/hr.
