Float Phlebotomist – Silver Spring, MD

We’re looking for a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves performing blood draws (including hard sticks and oncology patients), processing specimens, and supporting patients with care and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

+ Perform venipuncture using straight & butterfly needles

+ Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens

+ Ensure accuracy with lab orders and patient records

+ Explain procedures clearly and courteously to patients

+ Handle specimen storage and transport per protocol

+ Support with data entry, calls, and lab inquiries

+ Follow OSHA/DEP safety standards and attend annual training

What We’re Looking For

+ Valid Phlebotomy certification

+ High School Diploma or GED

+ 1-2 years' experience as a phlebotomist

+ Strong customer service skills; oncology/pediatric/geriatric experience a plus

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Silver Spring, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
