Job Title: Pharmacist - Closed-Door PharmacyJob Description
As a pharmacist in a closed-door pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring safe and effective medication management for residents in long-term care facilities. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment while contributing to the growth of our pharmacy.
Responsibilities
+ Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy and compliance with regulations.
+ Monitor for drug interactions and ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
+ Collaborate with healthcare providers and nursing staff to support patient care.
+ Educate nursing teams on medication administration and best practices.
+ Maintain compliance with federal and state pharmacy laws and guidelines.
Essential Skills
+ Graduate of an accredited college of pharmacy.
+ Active Minnesota Pharmacist license.
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in geriatric or long-term care pharmacy.
+ Familiarity with LTC pharmacy software systems.
Work Environment
Work in a long-term care pharmacy that is a mix of office and production space. You will be part of a small group setting. The schedule is full-time, 4 days per week, with varying hours between 7:45 AM and 6:00 PM. There is a rotating weekend every 7th weekend and on-call responsibilities one night every other week and during your scheduled weekend. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $65.00/hr.
