Job Title: Water Wastewater Engineer

Job Description

Join a well-established mid-sized engineering firm with decades of experience in both public and private sector infrastructure projects. Be a part of a team that specializes in the design and engineering of roads, bridges, water reclamation systems, and wastewater design. This position focuses on local projects within Ohio, specifically for ODOT District 3, Lorain County, and other municipalities across the west Cleveland, Elyria, and Mansfield/Columbus area.

Responsibilities

+ Coordinate effectively between clients and staff.

+ Provide detailed design and plan development for water and wastewater treatment, pumping stations, sanitary collection systems, water distribution systems, and construction inspection.

+ Develop technical specifications, permit applications, sewer system evaluation surveys, and cost estimates.

+ Assist in the development of project scopes and schedules.

Essential Skills

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (tracking P.E licensure).

+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in designing water/wastewater projects such as pump stations, sanitary collection systems, and water distribution systems.

+ Proficiency in AutoCAD (Civil 3D) or Revit.

+ Experience in civil engineering, wastewater, and water resources.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ FE/EIT certification.

+ P.E. licensure.

+ Experience with municipal projects.

Work Environment

The position is based in an office environment, working 5 days a week at one of the offices located in Mansfield, Elyria, or Lorain, OH. The office is a new standalone building featuring 10 offices, with this role having a dedicated office space. The individual will report to the manager in Mansfield, OH and the director of engineering. Enjoy competitive pay and PTO while working on local projects with a seasoned team.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lorain, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
