Description
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of test systems for electrical and control subsystems across robotic product lines.
Build and implement automated test solutions for embedded hardware to improve efficiency, traceability, and test coverage.
Collaborate daily with design, systems, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure testability and manufacturability of products.
Analyze test data to detect issues, drive root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.
Support new product introduction (NPI) by creating scalable test strategies from prototype to production.
Maintain and update documentation for test equipment, processes, and protocols.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians, while continuously improving test practices and tools

Top Skills Details
-BS EE, CS or similar
-3-5+ years relatable experience
-Experience developing automation software to test hardware at the PCBA, sub-assembly, and complete assembly level. Python and C++. Product runs on a Linux OS and tests can be programmed to run directly on it.
-Understanding embedded systems communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, EtherCAT). They need to know how to verify connectivity along these protocols, not develop the protocols themselves.
-ECAD experience (Altium preferred). Should be able to use ECAD to help interpret electrical schematics.
-Experienced in designing/deploying test fixtures
-Familiarity with RTOS (Linux, FreeRTOS, etc.) - test programs will run in this environment
-SQL for testing database
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with manufacturing execution systems (MES), test result databases, and statistical process control (SPC).
Exposure to safety-critical product development and regulatory compliance standards.
Background in robotics or highly integrated mechatronic systems.
Work Environment
50/50 between lab/manufacturing floor and and in office setting
Performance Expectations
Should need zero training on how to write python and C++ for testing. Know how to code in Linux RTOS environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Salem, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $67.31/hr.
